ABOUT
STREET SCHOOL – HIP HOP ACADEMY è la prima accademia di Hip Hop nata a Brindisi e Provincia, fondata da Teddy Wigga nel 2010. Da oltre 15 anni rappresenta un punto di riferimento per la formazione nelle discipline della danza urbana, tra cui Hip Hop, Afro, Voguing e Dancehall.
La scuola accoglie allievi di tutte le età, dai 5 anni agli adulti, genitori inclusi, offrendo percorsi formativi adatti a ogni livello, dai principianti agli avanzati, con gruppi, crew e megacrew dedicati sia ai bambini che agli adulti.
L’obiettivo della Street School è formare ballerini completi, attraverso un percorso che sviluppa competenze tecniche, teoriche, musicali e stilistiche, accompagnando ogni allievo nella propria crescita artistica.
Durante l’anno vengono organizzati workshop, stage e collaborazioni con coreografi e professionisti di rilievo nazionale e internazionale. Nel corso degli anni, gli allievi della Street School hanno avuto l’opportunità di studiare con insegnanti provenienti da Nuova Zelanda, Australia, Giappone, Spagna, Inghilterra, Canada, Stati Uniti, Danimarca, Paesi Bassi e altri Paesi, entrando in contatto diretto con differenti culture e stili della danza urbana.
DIRETTORE ARTISTICO – TEDDY WIGGA
Teddy Wigga, fondatore e direttore artistico della Street School, è ballerino, coreografo, giudice e insegnante di Hip Hop da oltre 20 anni.
È giudice ufficiale per competizioni nazionali e internazionali della Hip Hop International e della Hip Hop Unite e ha partecipato a importanti programmi televisivi, tra cui The Coach su La7 e Battiti Live su Italia 1.
Ha studiato nei migliori centri di danza di New York e Los Angeles e viene regolarmente invitato in Italia e all’estero come giudice e insegnante per competizioni, workshop e scuole di danza in Messico, Grecia, Paesi Bassi, ecc.
Nel 2023 è stato invitato a Hollywood da Universal Pictures come ballerino e influencer ospite al red carpet della première mondiale del film M3GAN, presso il celebre Chinese Theatre di Los Angeles.

La Street School ha sviluppato nel corso degli anni importanti collaborazioni anche a livello internazionale, arrivando a lavorare in Inghilterra con prestigiose realtà dell’industria musicale come Atlantic Records e Warner Music, contribuendo alla promozione di videoclip di artisti internazionali come Rita Ora, Charli XCX e Lizzo.
I ballerini e i professionisti legati alla Street School hanno inoltre avuto l’opportunità di lavorare e collaborare con numerosi artisti italiani e internazionali, tra cui Annalisa, Francesco Monte, Cristina D’Avena, Baby K, Boomdabash, Elettra Lamborghini, Rocco Hunt, Lola Indigo, Alessandra Amoroso, Sud Sound System, Gabry Ponte, Clementino, Diluvio, T.O.K., Tormento, Inoki e Miss Triniti.
TV
I ballerini della Street School hanno preso parte a importanti produzioni televisive, tra cui Italia’s Got Talent e Battiti Live, con Teddy Wigga coinvolto come coreografo. Nel 2024, la Street School è stata inoltre protagonista di Sanremo Giovani: il nostro studio di danza è stato scelto come location per la realizzazione del videoclip dell’artista finalista Lor3n, trasmesso su Rai 1.
RADIO
Da oltre 5 anni la Street School collabora con Ciccio Riccio, storica emittente radiofonica pugliese e media partner uƯiciale del Brindisi Hip Hop Night. Durante il Summer Tour, i nostri allievi si esibiscono nelle principali piazze della Puglia, condividendo il palco con artisti come Cristina D’Avena, Gaia, Wax e Neri Per Caso. Queste esperienze permettono agli allievi di confrontarsi con il palcoscenico, il pubblico e le grandi produzioni live, trasformando la formazione in vere opportunità di esperienza artistica.
EVENTI
Dal 2010, la Street School organizza ogni anno, nel mese di giugno, il Brindisi Hip Hop Night, evento dedicato alla danza e alla cultura Hip Hop, diventato negli anni un appuntamento importante per la città e per tutto il territorio.
Nel corso delle sue edizioni, il Brindisi Hip Hop Night ha animato alcune delle location più suggestive di Brindisi, tra cui il Capannone Ex Montecatini, Piazza Sant’Apollinare, il Nuovo Teatro Verdi, Piazzale Lenio Flacco e Piazza Santa Teresa.
Il palco del Brindisi Hip Hop Night ha inoltre ospitato artisti, ballerini e coreografi di livello nazionale e internazionale, tra cui l’attrice e ballerina newyorkese Mari Koda, protagonista della saga cinematografica Step Up, e professionisti come Kelly De Nigro, Omar Khidiri, Orlando Moltoni e molti altri.
Nel 2026, il Brindisi Hip Hop Night ha raggiunto la sua 14ª edizione, confermandosi uno degli appuntamenti più longevi dedicati alla cultura Hip Hop nel territorio brindisino.
INTERNATIONAL HALL OF FAME
La Street School ha rappresentato l’Italia ai Campionati Mondiali UƯiciali della Hip Hop International (HHI) negli Stati Uniti, partecipando per due volte alla competizione mondiale: San Diego nel 2015 e Phoenix nel 2017.
Nel corso della sua attività competitiva, la scuola ha conquistato in Italia 2 medaglie d’oro, 2 d’argento e 4 di bronzo, ottenendo importanti risultati a livello nazionale.
Nel 2026, la Impero Squad ha rappresentato la Street School al World of Dance di Cracovia, in Polonia, nella categoria Mega Team Division, con una crew composta da ballerini dagli 11 ai 37 anni, ottenendo il miglior risultato tra le crew italiane e conquistando il premio “Best Costume”. Nel 2016, la Street School ha ottenuto il 2° posto al World of Dance in Danimarca, mentre nel 2015 ha conquistato il 3° posto al World of Dance Italy.
Nel 2022, la scuola ha inoltre raggiunto la finale dei Campionati Mondiali Ufficiali Hip Hop Unite (HHU) in Portogallo, qualificando due crew alla competizione internazionale.
Un percorso di risultati che testimonia la presenza della Street School nel panorama competitivo nazionale e internazionale, dagli Stati Uniti all’Europa.

STREET SCHOOL – HIP HOP ACADEMY is the first Hip Hop academy founded in Brindisi and the surrounding province, established by Teddy Wigga in 2010. For over 15 years, it has been a leading reference point for training in urban dance disciplines, including Hip Hop, Afro, Voguing and Dancehall. The school welcomes students of all ages, from 5-year-olds to adults, including parents, oAering training programmes suitable for every level, from beginners to advanced dancers, with groups, crews and megacrews for both children and adults. Street School’s goal is to develop well-rounded dancers through a training programme that builds technical, theoretical, musical and stylistic skills, supporting each student throughout their artistic development. Throughout the year, the school organises workshops, masterclasses and collaborations with nationally and internationally renowned choreographers and professionals. Over the years, Street School students have had the opportunity to train with teachers from New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Spain, England, Canada, the United States, Denmark, the Netherlands and other countries, gaining direct exposure to diAerent cultures and styles within urban dance.
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR – TEDDY WIGGA
Teddy Wigga, founder and artistic director of Street School, is a dancer, choreographer, judge and Hip Hop teacher with over 20 years of experience. He is an oAicial judge for national and international Hip Hop International and Hip Hop Unite competitions and has taken part in major television productions, including The Coach on La7 and Battiti Live on Italia 1. He has trained at leading dance centres in New York and Los Angeles and is regularly invited in Italy and abroad as a judge and teacher for competitions, workshops and dance schools in Mexico, Greece, the Netherlands, etc. In 2023, he was invited to Hollywood by Universal Pictures as a guest dancer and influencer for the red carpet of the world premiere of M3GAN, held at the renowned Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.

Over the years, Street School has developed important international collaborations, working in England with prestigious music industry companies such as Atlantic Records and Warner Music, contributing to the promotion of music videos by international artists including Rita Ora, Charli XCX and Lizzo. Dancers and professionals connected to Street School have also had the opportunity to work and collaborate with numerous Italian and international artists, including Annalisa, Francesco Monte, Cristina D’Avena, Baby K, Boomdabash, Elettra Lamborghini, Rocco Hunt, Lola Indigo, Alessandra Amoroso, Sud Sound System, Gabry Ponte, Clementino, Diluvio, T.O.K., Tormento, Inoki and Miss Triniti.

Street School dancers have taken part in major television productions, including Italia’s Got Talent and Battiti Live, with Teddy Wigga involved as choreographer. In 2024, Street School was also involved in Sanremo Giovani: our dance studio was selected as the location for the production of the music video for finalist artist Lor3n, which was broadcast on Rai 1.
RADIO
For over 5 years, Street School has collaborated with Ciccio Riccio, a historic Apulian radio station and oAicial media partner of Brindisi Hip Hop Night. During the Summer Tour, our students perform in major squares and venues across Puglia, sharing the stage with artists such as Cristina D’Avena, Gaia, Wax and Neri Per Caso. These experiences allow students to gain first-hand experience of performing on stage, engaging with audiences and working within major live productions, turning their training into genuine artistic opportunities.
EVENTS
Since 2010, Street School has organised the Brindisi Hip Hop Night every year in June, an event dedicated to dance and Hip Hop culture that has become an important event for the city and the surrounding area. Over the years, Brindisi Hip Hop Night has taken place in some of the most evocative locations in Brindisi, including Capannone Ex Montecatini, Piazza Sant’Apollinare, Nuovo Teatro Verdi, Piazzale Lenio Flacco and Piazza Santa Teresa. The Brindisi Hip Hop Night stage has also hosted nationally and internationally renowned artists, dancers and choreographers, including New York actress and dancer Mari Koda, known for the Step Up film franchise, as well as professionals such as Kelly De Nigro, Omar Khidiri, Orlando Moltoni and many others. In 2026, Brindisi Hip Hop Night reached its 14th edition, confirming its status as one of the longest-running events dedicated to Hip Hop culture in the Brindisi area.
INTERNATIONAL HALL OF FAME
Street School has represented Italy at the OAicial Hip Hop International World Championships (HHI) in the United States, taking part in the world competition twice: San Diego in 2015 and Phoenix in 2017. Throughout its competitive history, the school has won 2 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals in Italy, achieving important results at national level. In 2026, Impero Squad represented Street School at the World of Dance in Kraków, Poland, competing in the Mega Team Division, with a crew made up of dancers aged 11 to 37. The team achieved the highest score among the Italian crews and won the “Best Costume” award. In 2016, Street School achieved 2nd place at World of Dance in Denmark, while in 2015 it achieved 3rd place at World of Dance Italy. In 2022, the school also reached the final of the OAicial Hip Hop Unite World Championships (HHU) in Portugal, qualifying two crews for the international competition. This record of achievements reflects Street School’s presence on the national and international competitive dance scene, from the United States to Europe.
